Default Best pipes for harley

got an 03 heritage classic and it currently has SE slip ons (I want to say SE3?; just cant recall off hand)

My question..

What are the absolutly best pipes you can buy? I want to get pipes that I can have loud as hell for short trips but where I can switch baffles out for the long road trips (to quit it down a smidgen).

I was looking at hookers because I heard those are great, but it seems that alot of people like rineharts.

Here is the link to the hookers I was looking at

http://www.dragspecialties.com/fatbook/10/291/3874866 it's the very first set there (1800-0277)

Price is not a concern of mine. Quality and sound are (and the ability to change that sound on a whim)

I have an 07 heritage with V&H true duals. They are loud but the quiet baffles wont quiet it down the way you want.If you want to be able to change baffles check out the rush slip ons.The baffles are interchangeable for the different loudness you want

I have a set that LOOKS similar to those, V&H Long shots. I LOVE the sound. Loud enough around town when you crack it. But on the Highway, mellow enough to talk to your passenger...(Not extremely quiet though,,,) But what I was going to tell you,,, I bought these used, and only paid 100.00 from a very good friend. He traded his Heritige with the stock exhaust on it. Those pipes MAY drag in the corners pretty easily. Mine do. (I have a FXSTS) I would imagine the Heritige rides about the same. Maybe the second set, with the stagger wouldn't? Just something to consider. If you LOVE the looks of the first set. (I do on my bike) Then you will have to adjust your riding style some. Or cringe everytime you hear that "Scrape"....

MAYBE the Hookers don't mount in quite the same position too, who knows.

ya.. I hate dragging.. I dont know if I just lean to much or what, but I have only owned the bike a month and dragged my left board 3 times. Thanks for that consideration though. That will deff change how I look at my pipes.
