Thunderheader quality improved yet?
Has Thunderheader improved their quality yet? Been reading a lot of positivesabout them but many negative comments about their finish as well ( chrome flaking, yellowing mufflers) I just put on a set of Rinehart TD's and hate them, no attitude, too quiet. I'm thinking about dumping them on ebay and going with the Thunders.

I just put a set of V&H ProPipes on my 95" build. The sound is great, not quite Thunderheader, but great. The performance is great and I know I will not have discoloration issues. This pipes are a bit milder than the Thunderheader, which my neighbor was strongly encouraging, but not so loud as to get "extra" police attention.

The t-header has not gotten any better, and if you think that a V&H pipe will not discolor you are wrong. We have one here in the shop now that had a perfrect tune on it and the megaphone area is solid gold. As well the V&H is not what I would call a quality pipe. They are more a budget pipe they offer decent performance but are not a equal legnth header which is the real reason to go to a 2-1 pipe. The D&D fat cat pipe with a quite baffle wins hands down. Price wise they are a bit more but they worth every extra penny you pay for. The finish is top quality, the fit is great, and the sound is great. You can have the standard baffle pipe with dual 02 bungs that are located in the proper postion for easy of install for 599 if you want the same pipe with a quite baffle cost is 639. To buy the quite baffle extra it would cost you another 121 dollars. Shipping is free on that pipe to your door. Steve
