Default Nice numbers from the new 525 cam

We did a very mild 98 kit ( our 98 not a REV kit) with mildly ported CNC heads 9.8 compression. And the results exceeded what we had thought the little cam could produce. Oveall very impressive for low compression on pump fuel. I do not think you could ask for a nice tq curve with the low compression. Stay tuned for some numbers with that cam in a 107 kit .

Steve, That lookes great! For under a 10 compression and that curve would not have expected.

Thanks We where very excited to see the out come of the little cam. It has now replaced the 37 in all of our kits . We could notbe happier with the outcome.

Wow! That is most impressive for sure. Can't wait to see the #s on your 107 kit.

I should have an 08FXDC soon and will be calling you about some details on having the headwork, 107 kit, and cams. Great.

That IS a nice torque curve with 2 into 2 exhaust!! What would you expect with your stage 3 heads and 10.5 to 1 compression????

The R&R 525 cam has me very interested...............I'm curious how it would compare to the HQ-0034 cams I currently have in my build.

What's a pair of these cams cost?

Do they work with all the normal gears, bearings..............just a bolt-in replacement for my current gear drive cams?

Steve

The cam is set up for a mild build to produce nice over all power through out the curve. Now if you wanted to try this cam with more lift I would only use it on the intake side ONLY. We are going to work on that and add a set of S&S 1.7 roller rockers to the intake side to see what happens. We know we will see more hp and a slight increase in tq. Now the 107 we used this cam in made a few dyno pulls yesterday but had a failure on the ecm so testing stopped. But the power was coming on like a freight train with very nice triple digit tq coming on very low in the rpm range.

We have this cam in over a dozen kits at this time however many of them are back east and the weather in those locations has caused some problems getting enough miles to dyno as well as very poor conditions for dyno tuning. I will keep you posted.

The cam is very nice up to 10.2,...I would not run it over that. I know many places do and show impressive numbers but we build real world power on real world pump gas. We do not need you to have two oil coolers, or change your gearing to stop the engine from pinging. We look at it as if we are building it for our extreme climate on the crap pump gas we have here. And if it can run here with no issues then of course it will run any where in the country with no issues.
