Default Air Filters

I have an S&S series E carb on a 92 FLSTC.I currently use an S&S oiled filter. I have seen S&S carbs advertised wit a dry filter and with an oiled one .Whats up with both.? Will there be a drivability difference using a dry filter. ?I know now when on cold starts using the " enrichner " ,it makes a sucking sound and quiets down when enrichner is pushed back down when it warms up,which is noemal. The previous filter I used was ULTRA oiled and made no sucking sound and ran rough which is why I changed to a different type.I believe the previous filter was a foam and screen Screamin Eagle type..

I believe the only difference in most cases of the dry filter, it is a disposable filter as opposed to the oilable K&N that gets cleaned/reoiled and reused.Should be no dirvability issues at all between the two filters.

TC is always right.

Put any bling on the outside but K&N on the inside. You will increase your airflow so put new plugs in and watch them. You may need to get richer jets. One size up on the main and pilot usually does the trick.
