HD Performance Palitinum Spark Plugs
Anyone have any experience with these plugs on the TC96? It is actually the infamous "Solitfire" plug re-named by HD (of course) and is touted to enhance HP, steady idling, and increase fuel economy.
Overall a cleaner burn. I ran them in my old 88 Honda Accord, and they do work as advertised, but my wonder is about the TC96 heat loads. They run hot as we all know, will the splitfire plug do anything to increase (or decrease) operating temps?
Anyone experience engine issues after using them?

RE: HD Performance Palitinum Spark Plugs
from reading some of the post in here about plugs for the new 96ers, stock plug seems to be the one to use.....but if any different plug is used it seems the consensus is the ngk iridium plugs.. I replaced my stock with these plugs and went with the colder plug,,part # was dcpr8eix....Only been out for a 2 minute ride and didn't notice anything diferent yet but need a longer test ride..anyways my 2 cents.

RE: HD Performance Palitinum Spark Plugs
upgraded my 96r to hd platinum; no difference noticed but, more than 1 hd tech told me to stick with the original plug due to temp differences between different makes, even if heat range is same cross reference. even though manual states : use only stock plug (unless doing mods), 07 -08 fuel injetion system seems to be sensitive to component changes.
i don,t care for the stock cheap champion plug either, but bike is still under warranty.
only problem i notice is some detonation at wot, even with stock plugs back in motor. must look into this ping thing.
best of luck. i'm sure you will get some good answers here to follow.
