Default ANOTHER exhaust question *PLEASE READ*

I know everyone's is tired of fielding the dreaded exhaust question but maybe this one is different

Currently I have the Rush slip-on's with no baffles on an '08 Night Train and I'm shopping for a new exhaust. I don't think the setup is loud at all, in fact I've been asked when I was going to put an aftermarket exhaust on it. Anyway, how would my current exhaust loudness compare to something like the Hooker Fourbidden, Hooker Troublemaker or Bassani Pro-Street? I could stand for it to be a little louder but mostly going for performance. Sorry for the trouble......

Haha! I hope so, well not really but I do hope that the pipes I have now are considered loud. It's sort of hard to judge since I'm always on the bike and not behind or around it.

Thats what my cousin has on his low rider and when the baffles are out I can hear him coming a mile away, no joke. It's that loud. Thats okay that gives me time to hide so he thinks I'm gone. LOL

I second that! I have the 2" and the wife tells me she can hear me a mile away. Gives her a chance to get the boyfriend outa the house! Just joking about the boyfriend but man, you have to be deaf not to hear those pipes!

I mean, I hear them but they weren't what I considered to be loud but Iguess I'm wrong. So do you guys think they are comparable to any of the other pipes I listed above?

your performance must suck.....no baffle means no back pressure which equals sh*t performance !!! If you want to keep the drag style and get some back pressure back then insert a couple of lollypops inside the pipe and your performance will improve...I have rush slipons with a 2.25 baffle, inserted a thumbscrew inside the baffle and my bike is very loud with good power...07 custom softail, se stage 1 ac, dobeck tfi tuner

Yeah, I have nothing to compare it to but the dealer that put the pipes on without the baffles told me that it would perform better WITH the baffles . This was all done before I even bought the bike so I didn't really have a choice but it's no big deal. The whole reason to change exhaust is for looks for me as I do like the sound from the Rush but I want to go with a black pipe that doesn't cover the swingarm and better performance won't hurt eitherThanks!

you already have the slipons..to buy a set of baffles would be inexpensive at this point...maybe $60 for the pair...bike looks good as is.....I hope your running those drags with more fuel !! if not, then a 1.75 baffle from rush would be your ticket...slide them into the slipon tighten 1 bolt and off you go..no other mods necessary with that size...good lous sound and torque.
