Default Build Date and Crank issues

I've been reading where the end of the production run for the 07's has diffrent bearings for the crank that are used in the 08's. Does anybody know if this is true? My 07 Classic was manufactured on 05-07. I finnaly got all of the issues under control. IDS install and true duals and dyno'd(no more heat issue or ping). Now I am pondering if my crank is at risk.

Default RE: Build Date and Crank issues

I bought my 07 in Aug. of 06. The connecting rod bushings were the problem causing the knock. Harley told the dealer that they were aware of the problem and would replace the flywheel and pay all the labor since they can't just replace the bushings. I don't know when they figured out they had F'ed up and changed the design. Apparently it is not as pronounced with the stock pistons but the with the 103 upgrade and shorter piston skirt it becomes an issue much quicker.
