Default Pipes on 2007 with O2 sensors

Greetings all,
Is there any way around the O2 sensors on the 07 models? I got a friend who has a a set of Big Radius Vance and Hines pipes he is wanting to sell me, but they do not have the O2 mounts on them.Is there a way to bypass the O2 sensors? Thanks!

TH

Any muffler shop can install O2 bungs on the pipes. Ya may wanna consider other pipes as well. Most manufacturers are including them now. I am surprised those don't have them.

I would not be so quick to dismiss the O2 circuit. There are several aftermarket systems out that do utilize them and there is at least one more unit coming to market soon that will make great strides in this arena and it will utilize O2 sensors....

An O2 sensor is generally a really good thing to have in any proper EFI system. And if your system was designed to use an O2 sensor, then you need to keep that. Yes, a bung can be added to any pipe, but if they are fancy chromed, the chrome is going to be blued where they weld it on, at a minimum. If you can live with that, go for it.

If you install a Power Commander III, it comes with O2 sensor eliminators. I removed my sensors and installed plugs in the bungs.

Of course, I went the rest of the way with true duals and V&H ovals.

The Thunder-Max uses the O2 sensors and it works much better then a system without them, its more money but worth it in the long run,no dyno pulls, better MPG and operation all around. I had the power commander and I thought it was set up very well until I installed the T-MAX.

Chrome is on the heatshields.......... bungs are welded to the actual pipes (underneath) which are almost never chrome, but stainless steel tubing. So this should really be a non-issue.
