S/O,SUPERTRAPP SE,HD FLSTS Her Spr 97-07 #128-65116 $366.00
Typical... They dont make them for my chassis. Why wouldnt the FLSTS pipes fit onto a FXSTB?

I run the older SE Pro 1 Slip Ons and they are plenty loud. Not available anymore. They are not as loud as an open header but there really isn't much to the internals. I could run my Exhaust Sniffer all the way into the head pipe so there doesn't seem to be too much of a baffle in there.

I'm running SE pro II. Black ceramic coated as are the header pipes on my 06 Dyna. I bought them because a Supertrapp 2 into one was not available for my bike at the time. I'm not into the loud pipe thing, for me it is all about performance. The SE pro IIs are really good at producing power, better than most. However when the warranty is up and Andrews 54 grind is available I will replace the pipes with a black ceramic 2 into 1 Suppertrapp. Best overall performing pipe on the market! I've got a brushed Stainless Steel Supertrapp on my 1999 1200S Sportster with the open tip. It's quiet untill you twist the wick hard then it is all sweet music. That is the cheep open tip for racing only $18.95 a couple of years ago. Good luck with your choice of pipes.

I just put the SE Street Performance Touring slip-ons on my bike. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being stock and 10 being a drag pipe, they are about a 4. A lot louder than ppl make them out to be. Vid here http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=1276630

I think they are just about perfect. They have a very low rumble at cruise speeds and then snarl pretty good when the throttle is cracked open. Great for a basically stock bagger.

Ozark Bob, I'm thinkin' along this line: The front jug (right pipe) has 1 bend leaving the head and one bendat the bottombefore running straight back, most likely less that 180 degrees of bend. The rear cylinder (left pipe) has a bunch of bends, 180 degree leaving the head, the next section of pipe withthree 90 degree bends (270 degrees) for a total of about 450 degrees. Could be some of the sound is lost in the bends or, in my case, I don't hear as well with my left ear as my right. I was a little mouthy when I was a kit and my pop is right handed so a few slaps to the left side of the head may have contributed to the loss.

Took off my older SE pipes today... they are just loud as all hell. Looked through them and it's almost a straight pipe. Was given a set of 07 SE pipes. Slipped them on and fired up my 88. While the bike was running in my garage I could actually hear my cell phone ring. Took it out for a short ride... not even the birds picking the bones of old road kill could tell I was coming.

Now I do have to admit... bike was perkier cause it's running a little richer with some back pressure but the quiet is deafening.
