Is there anyway to tone down the pipes? I leave the house at 04:00 and do not want the loud pipes anyway. Must be getting old I bought the bike with them on, V&H. slip ons. Can I just put a set of OEM back on?

Shouldn't be a problem unless the bike also has true duals.
Some years , and some models , have a cat on one side , that might be a problem with true duals.
Stock pipes should be fine.
You can usually find near new mufflers in the classifieds here or on ebay.
Welcome to the forum BTW.
