An exerpt from Bill Rook's book: How to build a H-D torque monster:
On ram air induction systems...
Here's the maximum benefit you can expect from a highly efficient ram air induction system. At 100 mph, you'll get about a 1.7% boost in atmospheric pressure. So, instead of the normal 14.7 psi entering your motor, you would be exposing your motor to an ambient air pressure of up to 14.8 psi. So, at 100 mph, the best-designed ram air system will gain you about .1 psi. The benefit is tiny.
At 150mph you could raise the boost to about 2.5% about ambient, or 15.0psi - a boost of .3psi; still not much.
At 200mph the potential boost would be up to 4.7%, and the ambient air pressure would be 15.4psi, again up from 14.7psi.
So what do the numbers mean? In the real world at speeds below 100mph, there are almost no benefial gains from ram air, and how often do you ride above 100 mile per hour?...

But it looks good though. Flows as well as any other K&N based air filter system.
I think it gets a bad rap as it LOOKS like it supposed to be a ram air unit. But i dont even think they advertise it as one. I have liked them since they came out in the early 90s.

RE: kuryakin hypercharger
Had my hyper charger installed 9/11/07 and it works great can feel a big difference with every thing i had done. I installed vance and hines short shots. and a power commander III. At the shop they installed the hyper charger, downloaded an accelerater pump and put it on the dyno. Now i have a bad bike, looks awesome, sounds great, and about 12 -14 more H.P.

RE: kuryakin hypercharger
I installed a Pro R Hyper charger on my 07 Deuce. The thing you dont see on any of the pictures is that the bottom of the unit is open. My opinion is that this negates any positive pressure that would be there if the bottom was closed. I installed it because I thought the flapping valves look cool as hell. As was said, it flows as much air as any K&N filter set up. As far as was it worth it? Everyone tells me it looks great but don't get it if you want added performance over a standard high flow air filter set up. It isn't there in my opinion.
