I took the plunge today and ordered my parts from Zanotti. I went the same route as Jamie and ordered the Chrome Back Plate.

I was mainly dragging my feet due to I was waiting to get to my 1000 mile service with the Dealer. I will be taking the bike in next week for the service but first I need to remove my S/E Pro Pipes and return back to stock to avoid any dealer hassles.

I will then reinstall pipes, air cleaner and TFI fuel management device.

It shouldn't be a problem. These are the same parts used for the Screamin' Eagle Air Cleaner Kit that is being sold to fit the 06's.

Manish Hawg just installed his but I'm not sure what kind of bike he has. Jamie W is waiting for the parts too and he has on 06.

I'll let you know in a couple of weeks if you want to wait. I have an 06 Road King Classic, see sig...

Update! The UPS man knocked on the door about 15 minutes ago. I opened up the package and headed to the garage. Everything fit perfectly! It's already installed and ready to go. All I need is some nice weather for riding. If you have an '06 Dyna, this is a whole lot better than the $139 SE AC kit.

I ordered these parts from Zanotti:

29510-05 - Chrome Backplate
11292 - O-Ring (3)
29557-05 - Breather Plug (2)
3938 - Torx Screw (3)
29447-99A - A/C Mounting Studs (3)

Cost - $54.14

I also ordered a HD-0800 K&N Air Filter directly from K&N for $57.01

So for a grand total of $111.15 (including shipping), I got the chrome SE backplate, PLUS a K&N filter. This beats the heck out of spending $139 on the Screamin Eagle Stage I AC Kit with the crummy blue filter.

This thread should go into Tech Tips! Thanks Twoseas for the great idea!

My bike is an '06 Dyna. The parts fit perfectly. The temp got up to 39 degrees yesterday, so I finally got to take it for a ride. Seemed to have a little quicker throttle response and ran great.

I just ordered a Ness Big Sucker for $88 shipped to my door off of ebay. This was a buy it now option, and the guy has plenty to buy.

Hi all, this a really good post. I was kinda wondering what is the difference between the EFI and the Carb models for the SE/AC?
Thanks
Roger
