I ended up having to get one. I wasn't having much luck trying to beat it out. I expanded it a hair, but it fits up fine to old gasket. I'm not bothering with old, I got the kit with flange, ring, and gasket. It worked out good because I spread the split fitting as well to get it back together easier. Hopefully I'll have it all finished tomorrow.

Well, I know why it leaked... It didn't fit. They just crammed it in. It took a bit to get it on and lined up and seated correctly, but I think I got it back together correctly. Sure the dented pipe didn't help, but it was a bit of a mess.
