Default Rinehart Performance Baffles True Duals - Touring

Anyone running the performance baffles (Drag part number 1861-0314) from Rinehart on their true dual set up? If so, would you share your experience with them?

Not sure about the performance baffles but Idid installrinehart quiet baffles on my TD system. The sound is deeper than stock without the tinny sound and stillpretty loud under acceleration. The low end power has increased and is very noticable, good power for cruising.

What does it take to remove the old ones and to install the new ones? Can I leave the mufflers on and just remove the end caps and pull out the baffle or is it more involved?

I used a slide hammer with a hook. Removed the end cap and drilled a 1/4" hole in the end of the bafffle, hooked the slide hammer and whacked away... Keep the mufflers on the bike.
The baffles were a little difficult to remove. I would spray them with WD-40 a day before. I used anti-seize on the new baffles and drove them into the mufflers with a hammer and a block of wood, they went in easy.

Well - luckily for me they slide out pretty easily after I moved them up/down side to side. The new ones were a little tricky but I was able to get them in with a rubber mallet and a block of wood. I wish I had this answer before I started - but it looks like I did the right stuff!

The performance baffles without any different tuning were an improvement in the mid range. When you crank the throttle the bike takes off again. Not sure if I am happy with the sound yet - sometimes it changes after time so I need to wait, but I don't have the annoying decel pop (so far) that I had with the stock baffle. It appears that I havedisrupted the condition in the pipe that caused the pop.

Time will tell... Now to determine if I need another tune... Data recordings look almost like they did on the original set, but I need to ride it more to really know. I'm sure the power band has changed somewhat and will need to be adjusted.

How do the performance baffles sound, are they just as loud and raspy as the originals.
