fouling out front spark plug
i have a 1984 fxrs with an evo engine . ive had the bike since it was new.. i had a problem with my ignition module and replaced it with a dyna ignition plate , eliminating the ignition module .. it was cheaper and less restrictive .... the bike ran great with it ..... after a while i had the stock carb replaced with an s&s super e shorty carb...... the bike ran good but i noticed the rmps would be alot higher after the bike warmewd up... a friend of mine took a look at it and noticed that the vacum port on the carb was not plugged with a cap... indeed there was no cap on the vacum port.. hey said that since i dont have an ignition module on the bike that it should be capped off....so to make a long story short , i capped the vacum port and the bike ran like crap..... i tried to adjust the carb from the S& S instructions and now the front plug fowls out after a few minutes of running .. is he right ??? should this be plugged if i dont have a ignition module ???
why would only the front plug foul.... ive changed the plug wires so the rear is now the front and it still happens ... so it cant be the coil or the plug wires ..... any suggestions would be great .... i am not a motor head ..... thanks in advance .....
