Well sound is subjective for sure. Quiet, loud,or otherwise. It's not about the volume with this pipe.
Why no sound clips or dyno sheets because it sure sounds like a trade off with power or quiet with the excuse "but it runs good". An S&S 107 doing 100/100 or a 120 doing 122hp?
There's a price you pay for quiet it seems.

Sorry but I could never get use to this...When he fires it up I'm looking for my John Deere.

It just doesn't look right on a wide tyre fatboy. It's too long and a little upswept.
I was looking at the short megaphone RR 2-1 by bassani, but it looks like they are now out of production.... So now I'm looking at the Cobra El Diablo 2-1 pipe which looks good, sounds great but have no idea how it will affect the TQ curve....
I have not seen any dynos with the el diablo.

Don't buy the "quiet baffle" pitch. Kerker or Supertrapp; similar in design and either should give you what you want. Most 2:1 pipes are either raspy or have an annoying drone at cruise. I have run a variety of 2:1 pipes and have yet to find one I can live with. Currently running 2:2 Bassani Prostreets and happy with the performance and sound but they would be too loud for you.
our would I get the torque dip?
