V & H Big Radius 2 into 1 - Any one using?
Hi,
Has anyone purchased (stole?) and fitted V & H Big Radius 2 into 1 onto a 07 Softail? I am presently considering purchasing a set to go on my 07 Custom and was wondering how owners have found them.
Are they much louder over stock?( I presently have Rush Slip-ons with 1.5" and find them o.k.). Did you change the engine management computer to suit or fitted them leaving it standard? How do you find the quality and fit? Any issues you don't like? Most importantly, do you consider you made the right choice and would buy again? And, for those of you who are wondering; no, I don't work for V & H and I am not doing product research on their behalf - I am genuinely considering spending my cash on a set and after feedback prior to purchase.
Any comment would be appreciated.
cheers,
shep.

I have them on 07 fatboy. Used sert to dyno it after pipes and a/c install. All else stock and 72 hp/84 tq. Very very flat tq curve, no dips at all. Jumps right up to max tq right away and stays there till 45-4700 or so. Fit, finish are very good. Sound is great, deep rumble. Alot on them in another forum. There is a guy with vid on you tube but don't have the link for sound. Guys with more engine than I have good numbers also. They perform just as well or better than other 2-1 Pro-pipe, road rageand fatcat etc.... I'll tell ya though some hate them but who gives a damn.

I really don't know on the map. Dealer did it, How can I find out call him and ask or if anything other than a regular map he would have to record it somehow huh? I really do not have any idea how to find out. No pinging though. Stop and go in Houston on a 100F day and it is at 225 or so. Run synthetic oil in all 3 holes. On the sert all I have is that box, no cables or programs.

G'day Gramps
Thanks for your reply post. I don't mind thethe looks of the pipes - different to most others on the market, but, as yet have not seen or heard another bike on the road fitted with them, and, was wondering what else I need to do should I decide to purchase.
By the way, I like the solo seat on your Fatboy - do you mind telling me what brand of seat it is?
cheers,
shep.

Your welcome Shep:
There is a relocation kit should come with pipes for the rear pegs. If you ride solo though just take em off, cleans up the look onmotornike some. Really not much else to consider. I really like the pipe.
The seat is a Mustang Vintage Solo with detachable backrest, (P/N 79368 on seat). I also have a Bare Bones Lepera but big Ed and the twins always get numb in about 15 minutes on that seat. I can actually sit on the Mustang all day, it is 17-1/2" wide. Ordered directly from Mustang you have 10 days (after receipt)to decide if you like it and within 10 days you can get a Return number from them and ship it back if unmarked or unscratched. (EDIT: ahh... i see your from Australia)

Hi Gramps,
Temps in Sydney are similar to Houston (100F days); do you guys get the humidity? I will have to save my pennys in the 'cunning kick' (hide place from the wife) to purchase the pipes and sert to get round 'she who must be obeyed'. Do have the name of the other forum you referred to? You can pm me if you wish.
'Big Eddy and the Twins' - lol!!! Very funny.
