03 EG Carb. SE Intake and RH True Duals. I have a 190 main and a 45 slo jet. Fuel screw out approx 2 3/4 turns. I start it up with just the carb, nothing else, and it idles and rev's fine. Place the Air Cleaner on and it bogs out and dies. Hoever it idles fine with the choke on but pops when reving up. I am lost at this point. Help please. Thanks
I have to admit that is a good one. I will say this, you do need to bump the slow jet to a 48. Two turns. As far as your other problem, never came across that one before. Sorry.
I just reinstalled the Cone style filter and it runs again. I don't get it. I really do not like this intake due to a loss of fuel milage and the increased noise. Guess I am stuck with it for now.
Your symtoms indicate an air leak, manifold at head, at carb. Puttting the AC on increases the vacuum thus drawing mor air thru leak(lean condition), by giving it some choke the mixture is better but not consistent as you rev up. Think this is the situation, if so it's an easy fix, seal the leak.
