ok all you guys and gals,,,,,,,this is for the ones that never changed out their pipes,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,do the stock pipes get louder with the miles???....and time on the road?

 

I'll soon have some python s/o's for sale, they will make itsound like a harley.

 

yes they get slightly louder, but not by much

 

If you're looking for loud, I mean really LOUD, stock pipes will never give you what you want. Get hold of jp13 and get his pythons.

 

I rode with my stock exhaust for over a year before changing to my current set-up. During that time the exhausttone changed a little but not enough to suit me.

 

I think the longest I ever kept the stock exhaust on any HD was 500 miles, so it would be hard for me to say. But I would doubt it would ever change that much ...

 

i wonder if any more people agree here.?

 

Don't even want to here my 08 FB with the stock exhaust. V&H BSS waiting at the shop for my ride to come in.

 

I put 2000 miles on mine before I changed the slip ons. To me it sounded like the bike was getting quieter with more miles.

stock exhaust for me stayed the same pretty much the entire 2800 miles I had it on there.... only time the sound changed was when my muffler clamps started coming loose lol still rather quiet though. even before the clamps were tightened back up

mine sounds much better now with the V&H shortshots staggered pipes
