M8 V&H Pro Pipe vs Stock Softail exhaust

Interested to understand why this is, though? Is it only applicable to bikes with a cat in the header, as opposed to the 2in1 setups with the cat in the stock muffler? What does the pro pipe do that a gutted stock pipe with a baffle does not, considering the cat in the muffler is gone anyway? Perhaps the flow volume through the header, or polishing, or crossovers? I don’t think the pro pipe is coated specially inside the headers but have not seen it’s internals.
Performance being the only consideration... because the pro pipe does sound better than a gutted can 😊
Need to mention that when I contacted v&h fp3 support re maps for a softail m8 2in1 with a gutted stock pipe, they told me to start with the pro pipe map as base and fine tune from there... so I assume they must be quite similar
