Does Exhaust Color Indicate Issues?
Question: Does the color of your stainless steel pipes indicate fuel mapping issues?
Last month I installed a Bassani RR3 and ran it with a canned 2-1 tune from DynoJet for a few days. Pretty much immediately the pipes started turning bluish/purple in certain areas. After I got the bike dyno'ed professionally I though the bike running in a richer state would reduce the pipes turning black. Instead I'm still seeing the pipes get darker in color every day.
Would love to get feedback on what could cause this. Could poor air flow from the intake or improperly installed engine port gasket cause this?
Photo below is before getting it dyno'ed (top) and a day after (bottom). The pipe is even darker now throughout.

Sorry I should have been more clear with my question.
I know these pipes anodize with use. My question is more along the lines of does the actual shade of color indicate fuel mapping issues. From what I’ve read online and heard from others, a gold color indicates engine running rich vs blue/black equates to running lean with the darkening indicating overheating. Not sure how true that is though.

That's why people use Heat Shields on pipes to hide the bluing/discoloration -- I guess with the pipe switch the stock heat shields would no longer fit. Stainless pipes discolor worse that most, and has been mentioned yours look par for the course. Seems like any pictures of the pipes mounted on bikes for advertising would have shown this so you'd be aware prior to purchase.
