Thinking of removing my stock head pipe with the cat (already put on some Rinehart 4.5" slipons). In the interest of "anti-reversion", I would like to try some power cones (also called torque tube inserts). I have no experience with them, but my understanding is that they "drop" in the top of the head pipe.
Soooo... Do they work on the M8? Do they FIT the M8? Anybody have any experience/ knowledge with them? Thanks.

 

they are a hit/miss with mostly miss, i wouldn't waste money on them. if they do work, it will be a small sweet spot and not necessarily where you want it.
the cats are a anti-reversion devise.

Yes the cats are a pretty good anti-reversion and a pretty good sound deadener.

when gm used the fluid cats, i removed the mufflers entirely.
often wondered why they got away from them. there were self cleaning and you could change the beads in them still installed on the vehicle.
