Actually TH's are made very well compared to Samsons, Bub and others that use thin wall pipe. Some TH's have had a mounting bracket break, but that's all I've seen. There is no way a TH is more quiet than most other pipes. Obnoxious, is how mine is described by those that ride with me. For quiet power, Supertrapp Supermegs are very good.

 

Ran a thunderheader on my last bike for 5 years, loved it.

 

Had thunder headers on my evo, big bore, with a high lift cam and they sounded great. You could still hear the radio but it would rattle the windows. Now riding a 110 Screamin Eagle with Vance and Hines and the old lady said she wishes I never sold the evo.

 

Sorry to resurrect an old post. I'm looking at Thunderheaders for a '14 flhxs. A few of the guys a ride with have the VH so I like the idea of being different. How loud are they (TH)? And do they truly put out that much power? Is there another choice other then TH & VH?
