Default Help - Oil to Top End

Just did a 95" build with Gear cams. Fired up for a couple minutes - seemed to get real hot (but had the heat shields still off). Any case, have lots of oil pressure (like 60psi). Took off front rocker cover - expecting to see lots of oil laying around up there, Did not see much of any oil up there.

So, before I continue, how can I tell for sure I'm getting oil to the top end??

2005Ultra, TC88

Thanks

Default RE: Help - Oil to Top End

Oil travels through the lifters up the push rods and into the rocker arms where a little stream should be squirting on the valve spring from each rocker arm. This flow isn't going to be massive but if you start up the bike with the rocker cover off you should have a mess to clean off you frame and tank. If the lifters aren't tapping then you got oil pressure and flow. Now I have seen adjustable push rods that didn't get the holes drilled into the adjuster section and this blocked off the passage to the rockers.
