which way to go?

which way to go?
I want to get some more power this winter, I have looked at the harley 1550 kit and from years of drag racing I wonder why there is no head work required? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Edelbrock has a kit but I can't find a price on it. I would think you should get the heads first and then select cams etc so everything works together. Does anyone have an opinion for me or suggestions on which way to go?

the biggest obstacle to developing power in the twincam motor IMO are the heads they don't flow nearly enough to let the motor breathe properly there are a few good companys thet do excellent work I had mine done at branch flowmetrics HDWRENCH does them headquarters to name a few but I think if you don't do some headwork you won't realize the full potential of the big bore kit

Brett,
The 95 cu in kit is a good investment but like you, I would have the heads done prior to installation. You could also go with the Screamin Eagle heads that have already been reworked. My bike was the first production bike to have the 95 kit and it runs really great and has lots of power but I always wonder how much better it would run with head work.
