Default Emission controls

I went down to the dealer the other day and talked about getting a new 06 Road Glide. I asked the salesman about changing out the pipes, he said that if I change the pipes to anything that is not in there big parts book that the bike will NOT be covered by the warranty, the first time I talked to him he said just the pipes would not be covered, the next time I talked to him he said the entire bike would not be covered. Now I'm thinking of telling them to stick their new 06 bike were the sun don't shine and look for an 05. What a bunch of crap! has anyone had the same experience as me or is this salesman all wet!

Yes sir. I bought a 06 Nightrain & talked to my dealer about after I broke the bike I was going to change the intake & exhaust. He said no problem we'll just do a down load and you'll be good to go. Well 600 miles later I called to make sure they had all the parts & headed down. At the dealership the salesmen came over and asked what I was doing I told him and he said you can't do that it will void your warrenty anything in the book with crossed flags will void the warrenty he said. So I guess I say screw the warrenty or wait 2 years. I'll wait till next summer and then screw the warrenty.

Ask him for that in writing and see what excuse he gives you for not doing it.

Then find another honest dealer/salesman

Only if said part causes the damage can they refuse warrantee and only on that part, not the entire bike
