Hey Doc...yes, it is an air screw on thr HSR. When you tighten or turn it in, you're reducing the amount of air into the mixture right? So wouldn't that actually mean the mixture is richening?

Well that sounds good but I believe when the air flow is down it doesn't have the strength to pull the fuel out. Did you check out the web site I attached on adjusting the Mikuni?

When you say it like that, Doc, it seems to make sense. I did...I've studied that tuning guide quite a bit and it's not clear as to "too rich" or "too lean" in the air screw department.

It says if you get the best idle at one turn or less that you need a larger pilot jet, and if the idle isn't affected by going out to 3.5 turns (I think) that you need a smaller pilot jet.
