Default Swapping OEM exhaust for......

Hello, I'm sorta new to this Harley thing- just traded my '00 Fatboy for a '17 Slim S OGD. My question is I want to swap the OEM exhaust for a more aggressive sounding Super Radius V&H and I am wondering how difficult is it to do the swap myself? I do plan on getting the FM3 for the bike as well. Keeping in mind I am no stranger to pulling wrenches as I have built my own muscle cars for the last 30+ years. Is it a pretty straight across swap? And will it effect the warranty doing it myself? I have a real hard time paying a dealer a buck and a quarter/hour to do something that looks pretty straight forward. Other than the local over-priced HD dealers here in the Calgary area, are there any other reputable M/C shops that can do the job so I don't get that "bent over a barrel" feeling? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not a fan of the Super Radius pipes but on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the easiest, I'd say it's about a 2.

Not the best performing pipes on the market but if that's what you like go for it. It's an easy enough job, start at the front and work back, keeping everything loose so you can get it aligned. Make sure you torque the flange nuts correctly.

So what in your opinion are a better performance pipe that you would maybe recommend? I only want to do this once and not fork over a boat load of $$$$ down the road.......

I would also consider Supertrapp as a top performer. There's also RB Racing, Bassani and others worth a look.

RB Racing LRS.
Awesome exhaust gaskets, head pipe slips way into the exhaust port - never have to worry about an exhaust leak.

TOTLKOS, did you ever get an exhaust?
