Default cutting off SE pipes

So I have a set of SEII pipes on my bike(off road only tags)they have square cut ends
with a couple of indented rings, for looks I guess, at the tailpiece. I want to slash cut those tips, or have it done. Anyone have any experience, advice, with this?

Thanks...

Just a guess, but aren't the mufflers chromed? If so, you'll be fighting a ring of rust at the cut, is my guess.

Early on I wanted to do the same to a set I found.......I was informed by several people that the rust monster would be happy to eat the pipes for me. I passed on it and went with a different setup.
