Default dragula 1 or dragula 2

2015 FLHXS is what it going on with motor work going into engine this fall .
was wondering what the sound comparison was between the two if anyone has heard the difference. the first system seems that the way the rear pipes bends would be awful close to your inner leg. I have heard that they sound different but up hear where i live have not seen one yet. just looking for a little input on them

I have the Dragula 1 on my Ultra. Don't notice any excessive heat. I recessed the stock heat deflector to clear the rear pipe. Don't know if there is a sound difference between the two but I do love the sound of mine. I can still hear the radio at highway speed but when you twist the wick it really sounds off.

the 2015 street glide doesn't have that heat deflector, had heard the two system sounded different was hoping for input of some one that has heard the two

the new dragula 2 is on, new pipes and heavy chrome shields. has a nice rumble at idle no where's as loud as my thunder header at idle. but barks loud when you snap the throttle. road tested tonight you can hear the radio good and has a nice deep sound at 2500 rpms starts to get louder after 3000 rpms. drop from 5th to 3rd and it sounds like the bassani B1 road rage i used to have on the dyna.

I think this is the route I'm going to go. I'm still trying to "like" the look of a 2-1 on a touring bike, but I'm more interested in performance over looks. I guess if needed I could always add a ghost muffler, but i'm not a fan of that either. Do you have a picture or sound clip of the exhaust installed on your bike? Also which size baffle did you go with?

its not too loud at idle but has a nice deep sound when you get on it went with the 2.55 baffle and flashed the ecm with a tune for a propipe and then setup my afr's and hooked up my auto tune module to the power vision and did some riding and flashed the new info to the ecm. the bike pulls very well and runs great with no driveabilty concerns. if you go to you tube punch in a search on my name todd lincourt you can see the new video i just posted its louder then the iphone recorded. the quality of the ceramic pipes is great and has heavy chrome heat shields it was this one or the boarzilla and after looking at several dyno runs they both lay a flat torque curve and this system is 400.00 less. nice thing is you can still hear the radio fine at cruising speeds

Looks good. I think I'm going to go with this, either the Dragula 1 or 2, which ever one is available in black when I order. I'm going to order the 2.55 and 3" baffle, start with the 2.55 and once the motor build is done tune with both of them to see what the results are.

What air cleaner is that in your pic? I had a similar design on my Dyna using the Zippers kit. I still have it in my garage, but don't think it'll work since the throttle bodies are different. I might just try to find a back plate and use the Zippers filter.

its a arlen ness stage 2 backing plate with a zippers max flo filter had it on my dyna and just brought the backing plate from arlen ness for the touring models cost was 60.00 plus shipping and sold the other backing plate for the dyna. what are you doing for a motor build ?

Same filter I had on my Dyna before I installed the Wimmer intake. I think I'll do the same, just use my Zippers Filter that's sitting in the garage and get a backing plate to use it with. I was looking at the RR Cycle intake, I need to call them and see if they will sell the kit minus the filter.

As for the engine build, still up in the air about that. I was looking at doing a 107, but since I've decided to open the bottom end and address the crank, I'm most likely going to go bigger, probably a 117. I've spoke with several shops, but will start to narrow down the choices the closer it gets to winter. I'll do the build myself, just need to decide who's going to do the machine work.
