Default V&H OR SAMSON

LOOKIN FOR NEW PIPES FOR MY BIKE. TALKED TO A FEW PEOPLE AND THEY ALL SAY V&H IS THE WAY TO GO. BUT WHEN I STOPPED AT THE SHOP TO PICK SOME OUT THE GUY SAID "A PIECE OF 2 1/4" PIPE IS A 2 1/4" PIPE NOMATTER WHERE IT COMES FROM." SO THER IS A $200 PRICE DIFFERNCE FOR THE SAME LOOKING PIPES. SO IS THERE REALLY A DIFFERNCE OR IS A PICE OF PIPE A PIECE OF PIPE.

Also yes 2 1/4 in pipe is a 2 1/4 in of pipe but there is the thickness of the metal, the quality of the metal, workmanship, quality of welds, etc. Ya know what I mean!

I would go with Python. V&H makes them for Python and are 150 to 200 cheaper. dependind on what pipe. Great sound

I got Smasons pretty much for the price. However, they are pretty loud. I am the one in the neighborhood that everyone knows my work schedule. I did sacrafice some Torque & HP. You may be a little faster, But you will hear me coming waaaaay down the street.
If you get any 2 1/4" pipes without baffles, be sure to get some torque cones to give you some lost back pressure....If not you will definitely be heard with your sonic booms out of the tailpipe!

Check Ebay out for good prices on samsons or V&H. I have a co worker that got a set of V&H Big Radius brand new for under 500 including shipping.

Sampson pipes are of low quality from the several dozen i have install. I know they are less money but it is a get what you pay thing. The quality of there chrome is not the greatest, mainly they seem to vary drasticly from one set to another. I have seen a few sets that where great and others that had peeling and flacking issues in short time. P.S. they did not warranty any of them.

I put V&H Oval's on my RK and have been very happy. The chrome appears to be very high quality.
