Default Exhaust choices?

Just picked up a 16' Street glide special and looking to do a stage 1 upgrade Duals, intake and tuner but I'm kinda stuck on which exhaust to get I like the sound of the VH hi outputs on their header but read they are not ideal for a 103
I also like the sound of the Cfr's but hear they are hard to get so what else is out there that has a similar deep low rumble?

Power duals with the OS 450's. Deep as the Hi-Outputs, but a little tamer on volume. I've had both on dresser duals and really liked them.

Had to stick with 4" with my saddlebag extensions though.

To give you an idea on sound:

Hi-Outputs:

OS450's:

And just as another option, dresser duals and MGS slip on w/loud baffle:

I went with the FP3 and DK customs intake with the Harley heavy breather cover.

I've also had Rush Big Louie's and CFR's. My favorite set up for touring was the os450's and for short runs and around town you can't beat the mean sound of the MGS.

Thanks for sharing the clips! Were you on the stock head pipe with the VH HO's? and how are any of those you listed on the highway cruising with the radio on?

I had the Jackpot Pro Touring 4.5" Mufflers and Stainless 2/1/2 Headpipe on my 2011 Road King. Personally, the sound of these mufflers was perfect. You could cruise all day and not be worn out by the sound. And when you accelerated the sound came alive. With the stage 1 upgrade and Power Vision tuner the performance and heat reduction was more than I expected. I'll be ordering a new set for my Electra Glide next week.

All of those were with Dresser Dual head pipe. If you go to my youtube there is a clip of the Hi-Outputs with the stock head pipe as well. They had the Hi-Outputs on the bike when I bought it new from the dealer.

With the dresser duals the Hi-Outputs were louder than the MGS at highway speed, but everywhere else the MGS are way louder. And like I said, if you do a lot of long distance riding/full days I'd highly recommend the OS450's. Even with true duals they had the best low end torque of any of the slip ons I tried and would be the most highway friendly, but bark when you want them too.

In the end try and listen to multiple set ups in person and find what you like the best, it gets expensive other wise lol. What I like, you might not and vice versa.

I really like the tone of the hi outputs with the power dual head pipe but i did not get a chance to hear it on the road. I was a bit leary of getting them though on a 103 because guys are saying them lose low end power but i guess everything is a sacrifice for the right sound!

Right now we have 5 different styles of slip-ons available, one of the most popular being our Top Gun muffler:

We also make just about every style of full exhaust, if you prefer that instead!

I was at Sturgis last summer and MagnaFlow had a black SG that sounded fantastic. Wet clean-up on aisle 9 please.
