Default Pro Pipe baffles

I bought a used Pro Pipe setup for my '06 FLHT. How can I identify which baffle is in it? Are they marked?

The top one is the stock baffle for the pro pipe. The one on the bottom is the quiet baffle. They do make a compitition baffle but I'm not sure what it looks like.

If the stock baffle is too loud (as it was in my case), you can repack it. That's what I did and now I have that throaty sound.

I haven't pulled mine yet, but based on that end cap it looks like the quiet baffle is easily identifiable. What's the process of repacking the stock baffle? I love the sound, it's just a bit loud for touring IMO.

Well, without pulling it completely out I'm not sure you would be able to tell. The quiet baffle will still have the chrome end on it.

As far as re-packing the standard baffle? I just bought some muffler packing off eBay, removed the factory steele wool looking packing and re-wrapped it.

Below it the packing I removed

Below is the packing I bought off eBay

It helped a bunch.

Hope this helps.
