Default Stubborn gunk, new V&H exhaust

Greetings all. Just installed a brand new V&H Oversized 450 destroyer slip-ons with FP3 tuning and when I came back from my 8 mile ride noticed the interior of the chrome tips turned to a dark dull gold/yellow, it seems like a thin and very stubborn gunk (different from yellowing from heat). Tried mineral sprits today and it comes off but it will take hours to do a good job. What is going on here, is that gunk from the new baffles? Any similar experiences with new exhausts, what can be done? Is that normal? The pic shows the yellowing and the sections I've cleaned with mineral spirits.

It's an exhaust. That's what exhausts do. If you feel the need to clean them after every ride, find a good metal or chrome polish.

Nice reply, you'r right! I was just concerned because all the nice chrome changed color right way,... but at the end, it's an exhaust!

#0000 steel wool will do the trick probably faster than anything else, it will not scratch the chrome...

Ok, I used bar keepers friend to remove the yellow stain and after going for a ride the gunk didn't come back, so I guess it was something from the bafflers braking in or something.

Residual oil from the manufacturing process and to keep the baffle from rusting being burned off?
