Baffle removal and X-pipe

Baffle removal and X-pipe
Wanted to ask the Exhaust gods a question. On my 2010 Street glide I did the cat removal and slip on's love the sound an really drop the temps.. My question is on my new 2016 street glide I have already added slip on's stage one air cleaner and the V&H tuner. Before I cut out the cat my question is would it be better to build an X-pipe or just cut the cat out? Will one work better? I even thought about adding a diverted plate in the chamber where the cat lived?
If is not about saving money I like doing it myself!
Any help would be great.
Thank
John

With what you have now, I would think that it would be the best bet to just gouge out the cat. You won't gain anything with buying an aftermarket headpipe at all. I've decided to leave the cat in this bike until some hot weather driving possibly dictates different. I think the bike sounds fantastic with it in along with SE Fatshotz and I can see myself loving it on 600+ mile days.
edit. Sorry I didn't read the part about building an x pipe yourself. go for it, I wish I had that kind of talent!!
