Default V&H Big Radius scratches on heat shields...Help?

I am almost embaressed to admit that I put my kickstand down today, turned off my bike and dropped it on its right side thinking the kick stand was going to hold my bike up. Ive never done anything like that in my life. Just had my big radius pipes puton my 07 Fatboy and now have some scratches on the ends of the heat shields near the scallops.

I am going to wait a while before I do something about it. Does anyone know ifI can buy replacement heat shields and how much are they?? Are they easy to install?? It seems to be an easy problem butI fell like a complete moron. Thanks for the help.

After I dropped my bike when this a-hole cut me off and then slammed his brakes to keep from rearending a car I scratched the pipes. I emailed V&H about replacement heat shields. They can sell directly to you but I forgot the prices. It was a little high.I'm still riding with the same shields. They are not hard to replace. I had mine off when I changed the baffles out to the Big City Thunder Monster baffles.

Hey a72396 where are you parked there. I'm looking for Julie Andrews to come into the picture. Can you say Sound of Music. Looks like a nice place to ride. Anyway, I just installed the same pipes and intake as you have on your bike. What kind of improvement did you see out of them? Mine goes in for remap and race tuner tomorrow so I have no idea how its going to work.

Thats my house!! I am stationed in Germany on the border of luxemburg and that is Viandin Castle behind me.

The V&H are great; i did notice a big power differance when i installed. But currently i am having problems with my carb (to rich). It is real expensive to get a dyno tune around here ($500). I had two local shops look at it and they claim its good; but it just doesnt run right and my spark plugs are real black. Anyway good luck with your setup.

And replating is going to cost about as much too. They can take out most scratches and you will IMO get a better chrome. But some places tell me, I can probably buy them cheaper new. So either way, $ ching ching
