I have a 93 Tour Glide and this winter I installed a set of Paughco true dual head pipes so I thought that it would be a good time to upgrade the mufflers. I looked around and found a great deal on Screaming Eagle Street Cannons but they are louder than what I was looking for, any way to tune them down? I also added a stage 1 air filter and re-jetted the carb, fuel economy sank to 36mpg from 45 last year. ANY ONE HAVE SOME IDEAS COULD USE A LITTLE HELP HERE PLEASE.

 

Looks like you have posted about this several times, but not where you are most likely to get help, in the Evo section. Call in there, where with any luck you'll get some more useful replies.

LOL @ 'Street CANNONS' being loud!

'Quiet' baffles don't usually do much for lowering DB's, maybe drop them 2-3....You probably need to look for different mufflers.

 

Well so here's what I tried, bought a set of cheep baffles just for grins and they worked to well, brought the noise level down to a Honda so now that I knew it would work I purchased a second set of a much better quality tried them out and the noise level is now between where it had been and to quiet, did a cut at the first knoll and they now sound great.
