V&H Basic Slip ons - too loud?
Just bought a set of V&H Basic Slip ons. Just looking for good flow for Stage 1 and a little more Harley sound (07 Ultra Classic). Opened box, they are straight thru - not a baffle in sight save the fiberglass neck down at the exit. Looked up the business end of my stock mufflers - at least 3 baffles I can see. Mama don't like it too loud. Should I trade these for SE slip ons before I even put them on? Or is it possible to add baffles? Dealer showed me a photo with what looked like an insert right at the exit that he said make it quieter. Thanks.

RE: V&H Basic Slip ons - too loud?
Rotor,
I just put a set of the V&H slip ons on my 2006 Low Rider. They are really loud. I even ordered the quiet baffles and tried them but they don't sound a whole lot quieter to me. Yes these are LOUD. I put my SE slip ons back on. I am now investigating Rineharts. But I don't want to repeat this drill again. I want the deep rumble and the Harley sound without all the db's.
Hope this helps,
Bart
