Air Filter Mod?
'07 96". If you install an air filter kit like the A Ness big sucker or screaming eagle and make no other changes to the pipes will you gain any power and will you have to do a download? I am just thinking out loud. I am probally going to get rinehart t d and power commander but I was wondering if the filter alone is going to boost power? $140.00 vs about $1700.00 Right now my road glide is all stock, just trying to make the right decisions on mods.

RE: Air Filter Mod?
My experience: Put on a Big Sucker on my 01 Road King on a rainy cold crappy day. Didn't get to ride it or anything for a couple days & forgot that I put it on. Then I had to take my bike up to the dealership for an appointment one evening and...
I instantly noticed an increase in power on the side roads and on the freeway. I wasn't expecting it at all - so it came as a very pleasant surprise. I was initially like "wtf? Why is my bike running so great???", then remembered the Big Sucker I had put on.
I've heard & read from several experienced & expert sources that the air flow kit is the quickest & cheapest peformance boost you can do - averaging an extra 4-6hp over the stock air filter setup!
