Default heads and/or headwork + cams

posted on touring section, maybe this site will get more results. Have an 04 ultra w/113 ci installed. Used se cyl. & pistons. 203 cams(was originally going to 95" but later decided to go to 113 ci ) Money dictated as to how much I could do now. heads are stock, with machining to get the compression to 10.2:1. rinehart td's & se a/f. Now, wood I be better off with working my heads(compression releases all ready installed) or go in another direction, and what about cams? looking for a good flat torque curve @ about 2400 to redline. also going to t-max ecm to take the worry out of going back to stealer for $$$dyno tuning. headquaters keeps coming up as a #1 keeper. Dyno #'s now @ 95 hp/115torque. Runs great, but these # are comparable to a well built 95". thanks inadvance!

Well, both really, If your low on bucks id spend it on the heads, the cams you can change later. You can put any cam you want in there but it wont
run up to par without head work

IMHO, the 203 is an "entry level" cam shaft for 95" kits with stock to near stock compression. Your build is neither. You still need to get more fuel into the motor and exhaust out of it and a stronger cam will do that; all the head work in the world will not open and close the valves far enough or long enough to get the air/fuel in and the exhaust out.

A buddy did a good 95" build (BigBoyz heads, Weisco domed pistons, etc.) but used 203's because he got a"deal" on them and still regrets the cam selection although the bike runs well; he knows he left a lot of power and torque on the table with the cam selection.

Suggest you talk to Head-Quarters, and other similar cam grinders for their recommendations.

Thanks for the input, but I know the 203's area not what I need now, That's all I had to start with, Now what would be a good combo for headwork or heads and a cam selection get the desired effect. I need to get in touch with headquarters to see what they say is a good match for the rpm range/torque I'm looking for.
