Default Too Dang loud

Ok friends My cobras have gotten two loud for even me. I want the quite
stock exhaust , but I don't want to lose any of my other mods. What am
I going to have to do to make it work. on a side note I will be using stock
07 headers and stock 05 mufflers.

My Patriot Defenders 2 into 1 continued to get louder and louder with the manufacturer telling me that the material used in the perforated baffles can't wear out. The drone on trips was giving me a headache. I actually inserted a Rush "quiet" baffle in there with little result. That pipe is for sale now.

I bought a '09 headpipe (cat's still in there,) with a Night Stick / Supertrapp muffler off EBay. That comes with 10 discs stock so I bought a few more and now run 12 with an end cap and I'm happy again. Nothing beats an adjustable disc system IMO, twin mufflers or 2 into 1. Almost exactly where I want it.

I'm guessing that you'll need to change out the exhaust unfortunately.

If you have removable baffles, it's very easy to repack the mufflers.

Here's what I did... Quiet baffles which helps deepen the tone and reduces by a couple db. I also replaced using materials better than just fiber glass wrap, steel mesh, steel wool, and a pillow style packing.

It all helped a bit but not enough for me so I've bought a new system. Still I think if I had done all of this with an exhaust that was longer and wasn't right below my ear maybe it would have done the trick. Overall Db is around 4-5 less than prior.
