Screamin eagle 80674-08A, modify buffles
Hello,
I have a Dyna FXDWG 2012, and when I bought it, I installed SE mufflers 80674-08A. In fact, I have not had a chance to see the difference between stock and SE mufflers. Ok, for now, my dyna goes nicely, with deep sound, and I was pleased with her tone until yesterday, when I heard the tone of Road King, also with SE mufflers but with corrections on them...hm I come under temptation to make some correction on my buffles.
1. I would like to hear your opinion, is it correct to do it, if the engine has direct injection?
2. If its correct, then if someone has a link how to do it, I would be grateful.
Regards to all from Serbia.

If your bike is stock except for the SE mufflers then your ECM does not need to be tuned (Direct Injected Bikes). If you upgrade to a high-flow air cleaner then you'll need a tuner or a map download from a Harley dealer.
You should look at the Cycle Shack 1553 Performance Baffles:

Answer 2:
To remove the stock SE baffles:
Remove the muffler from the exhaust pipe.
Remove the silencer by taking out the torx head bolts from the end.
Use a wooden dowel, similar to a broom handle, to pound the baffle out from the exhaust pipe end.
The baffle will be tightly seated but with some effort it should slide out. Then just install the new baffle the opposite way.

It must be somewhere, on WWWW, how this can be done manually.
Thank you for all, again.

I suggest that you take your baffles out and alter them yourself.Sort the sound that you want by experiment.Go to ebay and look at what the muffler companies are selling for baffles-that will give you some ideas how to alter your SE's.
custom homemade baffles with drilled plates
the above baffles went in these mufflers

Thank you for all "Beltdriven".
On Sunday I tried to pull out buffles, but I failed. Finally, I tried to heat metal, I expected to spread, but I failed. I'm very close to the conclusion that the buffles from this model can not be removed.
I wish someone could convince me to the otherwise.
