One thing I have learned not all brands of exhaust gaskets do not install as easy as others. I have no problem using the proper size socket and a short extension.

Jibs. I assume lips. Never heard of a jib anyplace else.

A old or new exhaust flang,if you want to remove from the pipes ,will work to seat tapered gaskets. I can't see spending money on the tool

I've had a number of heat cycles on my header pipe swap and decided to check the header pipe flange nuts to see if they were tight. I torqued them to 115 inch pounds at install. only one of the four took a little tightening the rest were still at 115 inch pounds.

I always give the gaskets a light coat of anti seize and they slide right in.

Gaskets in freezer overnight - pop right in when cold.
