Question Tips for touching up marks on heat shields?

Boot strap came loose and the metal piece left a ton of marks on my flat black Vance and Hines pipes. Anyone have any experience on how to touch them up?

I know you can buy High Temp Engine Paint that might do the trick. Think it comes in a spray can but if you were to spray it onto something then use a small Artists Brush to touch the marks up it might be okay.

Short of getting them re done ($$$$$) I can't think of anything else.
