Default Exhaust and warranty

Well I just found out with all my decisions trying to decide between all the options of V&H fuel pak, pcIII, and the race tuner. Well the only thing the warranty will cover is the race tuner.

Default RE: Exhaust and warranty

You'll probably find that it all depends on the dealer who is looking at doing warranty. First they'll have to prove that it was the fuel management system electronics that you put on, it's not up to you to prove it did not. Say for instance you put on an aftermarket exhaust and a PC III and then the transmission goes south. It would be pretty diffucult to claim/prove that your modifications had anything to do with the transmission crapping out.

Some dealers could care less, others take the position that as soon as you change anything, warranty is void. The truth falls somewhre in the middle. Check the fuelpak and PC III, some of them can be unplugged and return the system to stock pretty simply, no trace of any mods.
