WD40 on new Black Heat Shields
Long story, but I accidentally grabbed a rag that had WD40 on it and touched my new black heat shields. I haven't started the bike yet. Is this anything to worry about? If so, what can I clean them with before starting the bike?

Glass cleaner is what I use. Clean it before running is what I say, why chance it? Glass cleaner also works on black denim paint by the way.

Hot water and dawn dishwashing liquid. I'd want to make sure I got it all off before starting bike.
Alcohol on a cheesecloth may work also.

Do not start until cleaned unless you want those marks to remind you every time you look at it.

Definitely clean off...oil + heat on metal = marks. Like suggested, dish soap & water.

Thanks guys. That was my plan, but wanted to make sure. I will probably get some hot water with dawn wipe down and repeat several times.
