Default Does anyone wrap header pipes?

In planning for stage 1 and installing a de-catted head pipe to help dissipate heat I was wondering if anyone wraps their head pipes with header wrap tape? I used it on drag cars in my youth and it worked well. I see the MC sellers all sell the wrap I just wanted some comments.
Thank You;
Bill

Some people use it, but most people in my experience have the head pipes ceramic coated inside and out. This will work better on keeping the heat in and getting it out the back, and you wont have your head pipes rust under the wrap...

Lot's of folks do it, including me. It is an alternative to using metal heat shields to keep your right leg from bursting into flame (slight exageration...), and in theory it causes the exhaust gases to exit your pipe faster because they are hotter, and this in turn is alleged to have performance benefits. Mainly though, I just like how it looks.
