Default Exhaust Shopping

I have a 2005 Softail Standard and I am in the market for a new exhaust. I am looking for something that will give me a good sound and a little bit more performance. I am looking for somethng that will allow me to cruise between 75 and 80 mph without hurting the motor. My bike is fuel injected and I was wondering about re-mapping. I have heard that the Power commander has a lot of long term problems and was wondering if I could get the Harley re-map without taking it to a H-D dealer and paying $140. I was looking at the V & H Bigshot standards. But would be willing to change for something that will offer me a little more performance without hurting my motor in any way. Thanks for anyones imput!!!

JUST an exhaust upgrade does not require a remap, and the remap has to be done by the dealer unfortunately if it is done. You can also use a TFI to richen it up a bit being that they run very lean from the factory. It's an easy install and they work well if you are not going to get into any heavy duty mods. Here's a link for the unit... HERE

Just make sure to get the stealth model for your 05 or it will set a code.
