97 ultra fork lock ?

That lock is a strange affair. The one on my bike stopped working, but as an export model it has an additional fork lock in the side of the steering head, so I have removed the steering lock parts from the ignition lock. In my earlier book it is covered in section 2.40 (page 2-109).
Not living in the back of beyond I not only have insurance, but use my ignition and steering locks, plus an alarm/immobiliser and on occasions a rotor lock! Why make life for thieves easy?!

I had an Ultra Classic trike that I installed Tri Glide trees on for the rake (worked wonderfully). The lock hole in the frame flange did not exactly line-up with the plunger in the switch and no amount of bumping would work. All I had to do was "adjust" the bottom side of the hole with a rat-tail file. BUT....I have owned them that required that little extra bump to lock. That alignment can always be "adjusted" a bit if the bumping gets too common.
