I decided to check into it and contacted them. They no longer make a spring for the EVO, however they do offer a gearset for the pump which provides more flow and pressure..

Default tick tock

I'd get rid of the amsoil, it squishes thinner than regular oils and creates a little more clearance.

the biggest problem is the cam ramp design. I have ev27 on my flt , it makes the same noise. my brother has a sifton in his bike , it is a bit quieter but not by much. I here the v thunder cams are a lot quieter. here is some interesting reading for you

VThunder got me the same problem.
Here is my thread:

My guess for now is that more aggressive cam simply reveals the lack of oil pressure. So, I'm going to try the spring from Crane

the wood cams I use have more aggressive ramps than most and the setup I use to stop the ticking is the S&S HL2T kit with adjustable push rods and a high volume/pressure oil pump and no more tick

Default Tried it all

I don't think your gonna get rid of it, Changed springs to increase oil pressure, replace rockers and lifters, new heads redone by Hillside . 600 valve springs, 4.2 turns on adjustable Revtech pushrods. tried different oils, Amsoil 20-50 (actually a little louder) even straight 60 wieght. It's not going away, I live with it. Doesn't hurt my performance. 94 torque n 85 HP. Ride n be Happy...

Thanks for all the replays you guys have been a great help. I finally got every thing in new spring gauge and ignition havent had a chance to test ride but I'm eager. The tick did quiet down a little still there but more bearable. Once again thanks for the help.
